It's a Knockout, September 2008
On Sunday 28th September 2008 the Tellermate TellerTigers team competed against 10 other local companies in 'It's a Knockout' in aid of the Sparkle appeal. The team did brilliantly and not only won the competition but raised over £800 of sponsorship money. All of the money raised at the event (estimated to be in excess of £10,000) will be used to support the development of the family facilities at the South Gwent Children's Centre. Sport Relief Mile, March 2008
On Sunday 16th March 2008 a team of seven Tellermate staff braved the wind and rain in Cardiff Bay to join the likes of Welsh rugby stars JJ Williams and Ieuan Evans and run the Sport Relief Mile. Not content with a mere mile our team racked up 17 miles between them and raisied a total of £338.70. Sport Relief is part of Comic Relief and the money will be used to help vulnerable people in difficult circumstances both in the UK and across the rest of the world. At the latest count Sport Relief had raised over £26 million to fund projects all over the world.
