TD+ FAQs
This page is intended to answer some common questions
Is the TD+ for me?
Do you currently spend between 10 and 30 minutes per day counting pre-sorted notes or coins?
Do you want a simple way to speed up this process without complicating it?
If the answer to the above questions is yes then we would recommend a TD+ model. TD+ is designed specifically to count loose banknotes and can assist in counting and bagging loose coin. If you require additional features such as the ability to count bundles or clips of notes, coupons or vouchers or you want to automatically split float and takings then please look through our Basic TY+ models and see if any of these would better suit your needs.
Which organisations use TD+?
TD+ users include many types of organisations but are primarily small retailers and businesses, schools, charities and public organisationa and mobile retailers.
How can I justify investment in a TD+ solution?
Generally, TD+ users recoup their cost in less than 12 months, and sometimes in as little as 12 weeks. For more details about the ROI for your business use our ROI Calculator.
How much time can TD+ save me?
TD+ not only saves time in the counting of your cash but also in other tasks such as preparing bags for banking, and reducing the numbers of errors made and recounts required. TD+ users who save only 20 minutes per day over a five day week can expect to save over 80 hours accross the year. TD+ has been designed specifically with small businesses in mind, because of this we have included a weighing scale fuunction which is suitable for weighing letter and parcels up to 1kg, saving you time and money when preparing your mail.

TD+ is designed to process notes and coins, if you need to count other items then you should consider upgrading to a TY+ model.
Can I count mixed denominations coin on my TD+?
TD+ only counts coin once it has been separated by denomination. If you deal with mixed coin we would recommend the CoinMate manual coin sorter to be used in conjunction with the TD+.
Can I connect TD+ directly with my own information systems?
No, TD+ can be connected to a mini thermal printer and will print off a count summary that can be used to aid banking but TD+ is not compatible with a PC. For more information about which accessories are compatible with the TD+, visit our Accessories page.
Why can't I take out TellerCover on my TD+?
TD+ has been designed to be a simple, low cost solution for smaller businesses and users with simpler requirements. The simplicity of TD+ allows the inclusion of a user accessible reset button, as a result TellerCover does not represent the same value for money that it does for TY+ customers. TD+ comes with a full warranty and outside of this, chargeable repairs are possible in the rare event that they are required.
