Duo checks Bank of England and Euro banknotes quickly and accurately relieving the cashier of the responsibility of recognising forged notes. The Duo tests notes for authenticity using infrared, security thread, magnetism and length and uses both visual and audible warnings to indicate suspect notes. The Duo displays a running total of the notes verified and can be run from the mains or on a rechargeable battery. The Duo automatically switches to standby when not in use in order to extend the battery life.
